Friday morning I went with Citizens UK to try and persuade David Cameron to attend the CitizensUK assembly pre-election. He ducked out (as the guardian put it). It’s problematic because he opted for an easy ride rather than facing an important group – sending junior minister instead. Here’s my response recorded on Friday afternoon, but held off until today because there was a chance he might turn up. Some of the key issues Citizens UK put forward in their manifesto are things I agree with. But speaking from the pulpit the issue is wider (or narrower, depending on your point of view). So this is my response.
